Roof top brussel
This picture is nothing special, it is simply the first minutes after the sunset, when the street light are turned on and the light sky still provides enough light to bring the concrete landscape to life. Nice colors and details gave it a honest look on a rather diverse modern city!
I have been wondering about why i keeps seeking to rooftops when i capture city scapes. I can`t really figure it out, though i have some ideas.
I took this photo i Brüssel a couple of weeks ago, while we used some hours stumbling around the city. The landscape among the buildings are highly interesting and the the excitement around the upcoming discoveries makes the city floor interesting to explore. Different smells, colors, sounds, atmospheres and people creates a extremely diverse impression.
It may be that i`m not able to digest all these impressions at the same time, and therefore seek towards scenes and areas where i get a clear overview and a systematic understanding on how the cityscape forms and creates these interesting human inhabited lungs.
It may be the founding problems regarding language and culture, creates a extreme need to surveil it from above rather the interfere with the challenges. Or simply the fact that since cities are a part of the nature, i some how feel the need to capture it as i would do with a Norwegian landscape.
I don`t know and i will continue the search, to find the solution.
